Beamery Releases Independent AI Audit Results From Warden AI
Beamery, the leading AI-powered talent platform, has today released the results from its recent independent audit conducted by Warden AI: the world’s first AI assurance platform. The audit, designed to measure bias of AI algorithms, confirms that Beamery’s AI meets high standards of fairness and transparency, and exceeds standards on disparate impact.
The results of the audit, which are updated live and available on Beamery’s AI Assurance Dashboard, are made public as the EU AI Act comes into effect. The EU AI Act is the world’s first comprehensive AI regulation, and Warden’s audit helps to ensure that Beamery’s talent intelligence solutions enable its customers on their compliance journey.
Beamery was the first HR tech company to undergo a third-party AI audit in 2022 and this year selected Warden AI’s embedded auditing solution, which integrates with the Beamery platform, enabling continuous testing and monitoring. This approach ensures that any biases are detected and addressed promptly, a critical need for businesses using Beamery’s AI technology solutions to remove unconscious bias from the talent management process.
Beamery’s AI underwent detailed examination through two primary methods: disparate impact analysis and counterfactual analysis. These methods were used to identify and mitigate biases related to sex and ethnicity.
- Disparate Impact Analysis: Disparate impact analysis focuses on detecting whether an AI system disproportionately affects certain demographic groups. In Beamery’s case, the audit revealed no significant bias in relation to sex or ethnicity.
- Counterfactual Analysis: Counterfactual analysis examines how the AI system’s decisions would change if the circumstances were different, such as if an individual’s sex or ethnicity were altered. The results from Warden AI indicated that Beamery’s system consistently made unbiased decisions.
The positive outcomes from both analyses confirm that Beamery's AI systems meet high standards of fairness and transparency. These results reflect the company’s ongoing mission to ensure everyone has the same access to work, regardless of background, pedigree, race or religion.
