Beamery: What is your favorite Beamery feature, and why?
Fiona: The automation and the event functionality are a few of my Beamery favorites!
We have multiple standard recipes created to auto-populate key fields that simplify sourcing for our TA team. These recipes also interact with changes that are made to a contact, that then trigger either a campaign or a further field change.
This way Beamery is kept current and the information is trusted. With Beamery Events, our Marketing Teams use QR codes to help attendees check-in (if pre-registered) or easily sign up at the event. To complement this experience, our automated campaigns provide follow-up communications and focused newsletters according to their preferences.
Describe the main challenges you were facing before having access to Beamery.
Prior to Beamery, our Talent team found it difficult to resurface previous applicants for new requisitions, or a way of enabling potential candidates the opportunity to easily join our Talent Community.
Keeping up-to-date with previous candidates can be tough for any TA team. Managing these candidates on spreadsheets is not GDPR compliant and is very restrictive. Managing security to spreadsheets, making sure columns are not deleted, remembering the locations of the CVs – all of this makes the entire experience very labor-intensive.
For candidates that were previously in the recruitment process, we updated our ATS communications and our careers page with a link to join the Ocado Group Talent Community for those who want to keep in touch with us.

With GDPR specific recipes, we can automate the renewal of consent and also automate updating contacts who do not consent. This keeps our Data Privacy team happy.
What success metrics are important to you?
Re-surfacing conversions is one of the most important metrics we look at!
The ability to successfully convert resurfaced candidates very much depends on the types of roles that are regularly recruited, as there needs to be some parity with skill set and usually location. We are excited to have early successes here, but we are optimistic as good news continues to travel fast, with regular increased engagement from TA.
We created a Silver Medalist disposition reason in Workday and have a matching global tag that is automatically added to the candidate when they come through the Workday-to-Beamery integration so that our Talent Acquisition team can easily identify them.
How have you used Beamery to support a critical talent initiative?
Our Recruitment Marketing teams have moved from the previous ‘meet up’ platform and now use the Event functionality in Beamery. This has driven more potential future candidates to our Talent Community and has enabled us to consistently nurture them.
