B: What is your favorite Beamery feature, and why?

Nick: My favorite Beamery feature is the Events module. The flexibility of the Events module and the associated pages allows us to quickly set up landing pages for a wide range of initiatives. It is intuitive and easy to build with, and suggests up front the most useful features with which to build engagement with prospects.

We use Events to promote different in-person and virtual events (and combinations of the two) across the country and, ultimately, internationally. The ability to track registrations, tailor automated responses based on declared preferences, and capture consent all in one place is brilliant – and such a time-saver. We have received a fair amount of unprompted ‘praise’ for how we promote events using the platform.

B: What problem does this solve?

N: Beamery Events systemizes the previously manual and time-consuming process of collecting registrations and scheduling follow ups. Predefined questions allow us to gather prospects into talent pools for future engagement activities, and enable us to provide a really positive and professional experience for our talent pipeline. In short, it makes us more efficient, more professional, and more compliant.

B: Describe a situation when you used Beamery Events to support a talent initiative.

N: BBC has used Beamery to support a number of initiatives and to help drive attendance at events as well as to support registration, categorization and post-event engagement activities.

In particular we use the Event page capability to host details of our attendance at an in-person event hosted by RTS (Royal Television Society) in Islington. This event was aimed at early career seekers and Beamery provided information to attendees whilst they were waiting for an ‘appointment’ with our Talent Executives, via a QR code displayed at the event.

This significantly streamlined the registration process (previously paper-based) and, through predefined questions, provided very valuable data capture for us to follow up with people after the event.

The ability to track registrations and to automatically assign individuals to Talent Pools was immensely time saving, and also enabled us to send follow-up communications that were relevant, timely and effective.

Registered over 200 individuals into a Production Management talent pool, as a direct result of the event page and subsequent engagement automation functionality

This is an ongoing programme of talent pooling and will result in a clearly defined talent pool of individuals seeking a career in Production Management.

We expect to place a significant number of those who registered over the coming months across our productions.

B: How has this made your job easier?

N: It has saved considerable time and effort in terms of data and consent, as well as removing the laborious task of collecting event attendee information.

“Beamery is intuitive and creative… and makes people think you are super creative!”

Fun fact about Nick: He wrote a book in the 80s on how to snowboard. It’s called Snowboarding Fundamentals.

About the Beamery Customer Spotlight

This program exists to highlight Beamery customers who have mastered the art of “unlocking human potential” through consistent (and smart) use and adoption of the Beamery platform. They use Beamery to take their company to the next level while elevating the talent experience for all candidates. Beyond being a fabulous talent-driven individual, these individuals also represent one or many of the Beamery values: start with why, own the change you seek, act with kindness, communicate openly, make a positive impact.
