Adam Artar Manager - Talent Acquisition at Edwards Lifesciences 

Adam Artar has over fifteen years of talent acquisition experience, specializing in the medical device industry. Based in Scottsdale, AZ, Adam manages the Global Talent Acquisition - Sourcing function at Edwards Lifesciences. In his current role, Adam has built high-performing global team covering the United States, LATAM, EMEA, and JAPAC regions. Adam co-developed the Edwards Lifesciences talent acquisition diversity strategy and now serves as an advisor on the Edwards Lifesciences talent acquisition DI&B committee.

Nicole Britenriker - Senior Team Talent Advisor at National Basketball Association (NBA)

A former professional volleyball player and student-athlete for the University of Kentucky, Nicole Britenriker has served in various roles across the professional and collegiate sports landscape including sponsorships, sales, corporate partnership development, ticketing and currently, talent acquisition and talent management with an emphasis on diversity, equity and inclusion.

Nicole, a certified diversity recruiter, currently serves as a Senior Team Talent Advisor with the NBA. In this role, she provides human resources and talent acquisition support to NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, and NBA 2K League teams. As part of her responsibilities, Nicole drives significant impact across the NBA family in the areas of acquisition, retention and development, partnering with teams to build inclusive and diverse workplaces. An advocate for diverse and inclusive sports organizations, she presently serves as the Co-Vice President for the Black Sports Professionals National Office. She has served on the National Sports Forum’s Business of Diversity in Sports and Entertainment (BDSE) Committee and been involved with Special Olympics Texas (SOTX).

Angela Hood - Founder/CEO at ThisWay Global

Following 4 years of R&D at the University of Cambridge in England, Angela Hood returned to Austin, Texas and founded her fourth company, ThisWay Global. Angela is well known across the globe as an international keynote speaker and thought leader on the topics of mitigating bias in artificial intelligence and the ROI of diversity. Her work has been featured in Simon & Schuster’s book, Hack Recruiting. In 2021 Hood and ThisWay Global were selected by Google to be part of the Google for Startups Accelerator program. ThisWay’s innovation will be used by more than 5500 paying customer companies in 2021, making it in the top 1% of growth companies. “As a serial entrepreneur there is no greater accomplishment than to solve a meaningful problem that creates successful outcomes for our customers and our stakeholders. Dr. Mary Meaney - Advisory Board, Beamery; Advisory Board, Imperial Business School; former Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company 

Mary Meaney is a strategic thinker with deep expertise on organization, talent, culture and change management. She was a Senior Partner at McKinsey, led McKinsey’s Organization practice globally, and served on the Shareholder’s Council (global Board of Directors). She has extensive experience working with CEOs, Boards and senior leaders in consumer/ retail, pharmaceuticals, energy and basic materials on a broad range of strategy, organization and transformation efforts. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Beamery, and Imperial Business School, and publishes and lectures extensively.

Richard Waite - People & Culture Director at Grant Thornton

Richard has worked at Grant Thornton in the UK for over 11 years and has had a number of roles across People & Culture. Since 2016 he has had responsibility for resourcing and global mobility and leads an in-house recruiting team who cover early careers, experienced professionals and executive search. Passionate about the inclusion agenda, Richard has pioneered a number of strategic priorities across the recruitment space which has led to more diverse talent joining the organisation than ever before. Partnering with his colleagues across People & Culture and Inclusion & Diversity he is working to create an organisation that not only attracts but nurtures, develops and retains diverse talent and where everyday inclusion is the reality for all.
