Data Enrichment Policy

Data Enrichment Policy

Updated: October 2024

*Please note that Beamery’s Data Enrichment services will be discontinued for all customers by 1st December 2024. So, this policy will not apply to any Contact profiles added following this date. However, this policy remains accurate for all customers who have used Beamery’s services to enrich their Contact profiles in the past and all individuals whose profiles have been enriched historically.

What is Data Enrichment?

Data enrichment is a process used to enhance, validate, and update a contact’s profile to ensure accuracy and completeness. The Beamery product provides the capabilities via third-party API to “enrich” certain key categories of a candidate’s profile with data from other sources including publicly available sources.  Our third-party provider processes all of this data and automatically produces clean, accurate, fuller contact records, which we then make available to our customers via a connection to their Beamery platform.

Enrichment data ensures the information our customers are using to source, qualify, and validate candidates is accurate and complete. When a candidate’s information is input to the Beamery product, either manually or directly from the candidate, the enrichment process is automated through the enrichment engine, and this additional information is then made available via our platform instantaneously.

What data categories are enriched?

  • Location

  • Phone number(s)

  • Email(s)

  • Education history

  • Work Experience - Contains information in relation to previous jobs and employers (employment history)

  • Social / Website Links (e.g. LinkedIn) - Contains the links found over the web by our Data Providers that relate to you. These can be social links, messaging services, links to personal websites, blogs, etc.

  • Skills

What is the Data Enrichment source?

A third-party provider called People Data Labs. We conducted an extensive due diligence process which includes Data Protection/Transfer Impact Assessment (DPIA and TIA) process on the provider, its services, and the legality of data enrichment. We have all necessary contractual safeguards in place to protect personal data.

Data Enrichment on behalf of our Customers

When you apply for a vacancy or talent community through our customers landing page or ATS, it asks for personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number, and employment history. This data is used as a base to enrich your candidate profile. Further, as part of the sourcing process, our customers can upload your contact data directly/manually or via our Chrome extension into their individual instance of the Beamery application. This includes personal data such as your name, email address, telephone number, and work history. We use this data as a base to enrich your profile with the above-mentioned fields.

Please see the applicable customer’s candidate-facing privacy statement for more information in relation to how the customer uses the information that you provide them. The Beamery platform provides our customers with the tools to collect and enrich the data, but it falls to our customers to determine the basis for processing and provide the notifications and privacy policy updates a candidate would expect.

Data Enrichment use by Beamery

To the extent permitted by law, we may combine, correct, and enrich personal data that we receive from you with data about you from other sources, including publicly available databases or from third parties to update, expand, and analyze our records, identify new prospects for sourcing, and provide information or vacancies that may be of interest to you. In order to accomplish this, we or our processing partners may utilize the services of top-tier providers in the cloud which may perform some or all of their processing activities in data centers in the US. We are assured by our agreements with these partners that all needed safeguards and protective measures required of them are in place. Further information in relation to Beamery’s privacy practices can be found in our Privacy Policy
