Beamery Celebrates Customer Success at Spark Live 2021

London, UK – 24th November 2021: Beamery, the leading Talent Lifecycle Management platform, has revealed the worthy winners of its Beamie 2021 awards.  

Announced at Beamery’s annual Spark Live conference, ‘the Beamies’ recognize customers that have demonstrated how they have embraced their own talent transformation journeys, and celebrates their accomplishments. They also shine a light on the companies that are developing corporate social responsibility programs or introducing initiatives that have a positive impact on employee wellbeing.

The 2021 Beamie Award Winners

Talent Acquisition Innovator of the Year – Balfour Beatty
Collected by Balfour Beatty, this award recognizes an organization who has gone above-and-beyond to embrace change and transform the talent function, to meet the changing needs of the business.

Balfour Beatty has supercharged its talent transformation efforts this year by kicking off a major program designed to amplify the hiring efforts of one of its largest business units. The innovation in how the team used the platform was evident.  Not only were they able to leverage a multi-channel approach, allowing hiring managers to have direct access to recruiters to improve collaboration and which made the experience significantly faster and more efficient, the team also filled nearly all positions listed in the original campaign.


Best Campaign of the Year - VMWare
Beamery is continuously inspired by the way clients use its platform to create compelling and unique campaigns to attract and engage candidates.

This year’s ‘best campaign’ award went to VMWare for the new series of global newsletters it created.  Sent to sales professionals and solution engineers, some of the most highly coveted and challenging roles to fulfill in the market today, each newsletter was carefully designed with an intentional call-to-action; supported with a relevant thought-leadership article and information on the latest company financials. This campaign was reported as significantly outperforming previous campaigns similar in scope and has now become a blueprint for success. VMWare secured over 715 applicants, expediting their speed to value by highlighting over 100 candidates as part of the VMinclusion initiative - established to designate diverse candidates while removing bias.

The Global Newcomer of the Year - Ocado
The Global Newcomer of the Year award rewards a bold vision to support the talent acquisition function in new ways, and this year Ocado received the coveted accolade.

Having embodied a commitment to success from day one, strategically crafting an implementation to enhance the ability to attract, engage, and retain talent, Ocado partnered with Beamery to truly put talent transformation at the heart of its business.  Ocado has since seen tremendous results through its newly launched Talent Community, as well as optimizing how the team sources, manages and selects the right candidates for the right job, at the right time.  Ocado’s ability to adapt, change and shift to accommodate in-demand skills, whilst managing rapid company growth, has caught the attention of the market. 


The Beamery Spotlight Award – Johnson & Johnson
This award is presented to a company that has demonstrated year-round excellence; pushing the boundaries on what it means to be a talent first organization. Alongside a world-class partnership, Johnson & Johnson was considered by Beamery to have gone above-and-beyond in demonstrating its unique ability to put talent transformation at the heart of the organization.

Johnson & Johnson launched Beamery in March of 2021 and the commitment to growing and developing the Talent Community has been inspiring.  In just six months, Johnson & Johnson has not only doubled the size of its Talent Community, with an incredible 80,000 members, but 88% of members are also subscribed to marketing communications & campaigns and are fully engaged with campaign open/click rate averaging 50% and 5% respectively. Since the launch the company has also seen more than 7,000 applications come from this community.
